Portland metro area counties are once again in the extreme risk
category for COVID-19, as infections and hospitalizations soar.
This week, we talk to Congressman Kurt Schrader, who represents
Oregon's district 5 in the U.S. House of Representatives. We
find out what he thinks has been effective and ineffective in
pandemic relief so far. We also ask him about the end of the
eviction moratorium this summer, Oregon's catastrophic wildfire
season and the one we could face later this year, what he thinks is
most important for the Pacific Northwest in President Biden's
infrastructure plan, bipartisanship, immigration, his vote on a
workplace violence bill, mass shootings, the reaction to the George
Floyd case, police reform, and how he and his staff feel
about working at the U.S. Capitol after the January 6th riot.
